This role is primarily remote, allowing you to deliver therapy from your home while still feeling like part of our passionate team. • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to gain a nuanced understanding of each client's mental health history, strengths, and challenges.
• Create personalized treatment plans that integrate cognitive behavioral approaches, mindfulness-based strategies, and other evidence-supported modalities for optimal client outcomes.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions through teletherapy sessions, ensuring accessibility for clients unable to attend in-person meetings.
• Engage actively with clients to set therapeutic goals, providing a structured yet flexible approach that respects their individual needs and progress.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes, upholding ethical standards and ensuring continuity of care.
• Actively participate in ongoing training and professional development sessions, accessing opportunities to refine your skills and stay current with mental health practices.

Your work at Alta Med will primarily focus on individuals coping with various mental health challenges, including trauma, anxiety, and depression. Our diverse client base reflects the vibrant communities of Portland, allowing you to practice culturally competent therapy tailored to each individual’s unique background and life experiences. This role is designed for therapists dedicated to fostering resilience and supporting clients in achieving their mental health goals.

• Possession of a current and valid state counseling license, such as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; preference is given to candidates with a Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
• Exceptional communication skills are essential to establishing and maintaining trust with clients, fostering an open therapeutic environment.
• A demonstrated capacity for empathy, compassion, and non-judgmental attitudes toward clients' life experiences and mental health challenges.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills essential for effective caseload management and timely documentation.

• Experience working in a remote or virtual therapy setting is preferred, equipping candidates to transition into our telehealth model smoothly.
• Familiarity with the latest evidence-based therapies and practices in mental health treatment.
