Job description

MRI Technologist Opportunity in Sacramento, CA

Jackson HealthPros is thrilled to welcome an experienced MRI Technologist to our team in Sacramento, CA to accurately interpret a physician's scanning instructions, prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, and expertly operate MRI scanners to create diagnostic images.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification - ARRT (MR) required.
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) required.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certification.
  • Experience operating GE short-bore MRI systems or similar equipment.
  • Experience charting in Cerner preferred.
  • Two supervisory references from modality at time of submittal; one within 12 months and one within 3 years worked.
  • Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity within the past year. PRN employment through outside firms will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12 months or more recent MRI experience in a hospital setting.
  • Experience with required on-call responsibilities.

Assignment Details

  • Shift pattern: 12-hour shifts Friday, Saturday, Sunday; typical start time 07:00 and end time 19:30.
  • On-call requirement: 8 shifts per month, on-call window 19:00โ€“07:00.
  • Call response time: 30 minutes when placed on call.
  • Orientation: 12 hours.
  • Charting system: Cerner.
  • Equipment: GE short-bore MRI with software 24x.
  • Cancellation policy: Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts for a 13-week assignment.
