Job description

Job Summary:
Verily Health is a subsidiary of Alphabet focused on transforming healthcare through data-driven solutions. As a Software Engineer III, you will develop and enhance products aimed at advancing precision health, working closely with a team to build full-stack software features that deliver personalized experiences.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Work closely with the development team to design, develop, and deliver new full-stack software features across a range of Verily products.
โ€ข Come up with ideas to technical design problems, compare options, and propose solutions.
โ€ข Develop using industry-standard tools including GitHub, Google Cloud, Go, React, Docker, and Terraform to name a few.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in software development.
โ€ข 3+ years of experience as a software developer in an industry setting.
โ€ข 2+ years of experience experience with React.
โ€ข Expertise in building software and systems on any of: GCP, AWS or Azure (GCP preferred).
Preferred:
โ€ข Demonstrated experience with Go, TypeScript, and/or SQL.
โ€ข Experience with designing and implementing scalable data processing pipelines with BigQuery or other analytics-oriented databases.
โ€ข Education or exposure to healthcare or life sciences, with emphasis on HL7 FHIR.
โ€ข Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively.
