Job description

Role and Responsibilities:

Budgeting

  • Direct the preparation of annual Operating and Capital Budgets.
  • Analyze monthly department expense variances to maintain expenditure controls.
  • Provide advice and technical assistance with cost analysis, fiscal allocation, and cost reports.
  • Examine budget submissions for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations.
  • Submit recommendations supporting expenditures and cost containments.  
  • Analyze trends affecting the Networks financial position.
  • Consult with managers to ensure that budget adjustments are made in accordance with program changes.
  • Compile and analyze accounting records and other data to determine the financial resources required to implement a program
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses to compare operating programs, review financial requests, or explore alternative financing methods.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree required 

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting financial data
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resource modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
  • Well trained in technology (Excel, Microsoft word, etc.)
  • Healthcare savvy and well versed in industry terminology
