As a Security Officer Checkpoint Driver in Ontario, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer in a retail distribution location, where you will manage access control, monitor activity, and perform routine patrols to help support a secure environment. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. You will deliver strong customer service and communication while reflecting Allied Universal's agile, reliable, and innovative approach, with a caring culture, teamwork, and integrity at the center of each shift.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy retail distribution location.
  • Monitor access control points by checking credentials, screening visitors and/or contractors, documenting arrivals and departures, and helping to control entry and exit activity for the location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, entry areas, parking locations, and perimeter, noting and reporting conditions that could impact operations or security-related activity.
  • Support shipping, receiving, and/or warehouse traffic flow by observing vehicle movement, verifying authorized access for trucks and trailers, and maintaining accurate logs and reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
