Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Response in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver's license and Level III Armed Certification. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and support a welcoming environment while demonstrating Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to store team members, customers, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and public agencies when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, receiving areas, and restricted spaces; verify authorized access and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity according to site procedures.
  • Complete accurate reports and maintain awareness of retail loss prevention concerns, using de-escalation techniques and following applicable laws, training, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
