WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE

As a Welder at our Covington facility, you will use hand-welding, flame-cutting, MIG, and TIG techniques to weld or join metal components and fabricate precision products. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will directly support our production quality and customer commitments.

HOW YOU WILL DO IT

- Operate and maintain all welding machinery

- Identify the most efficient weld type based on work order/prints, including material type and required surface finish

- Proficiently operate MIG and TIG welding equipment, cold saws, tauring rollers, and other tools required to complete the fabrication process

- Perform related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding, plasma, and oxy/acetylene

- Operate forklift as needed

- Perform required maintenance for the fabrication department

- Comply with mandated ISO quality procedures and maintain cleanliness using 5S process

- Assist in performing inspections of parts

- Provide support to other manufacturing and quality personnel when needed

- Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with MIOSHA regulations

- Maintain regular and predictable attendance

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Basic requirements:

- Prior welding experience and/or training preferred, with reliable work history

- Proficiency with MIG and/or TIG welding; knowledge of oxy/acetylene and plasma cutting preferred

- Ability to read and interpret work orders, prints, safety rules, and procedure manuals

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure

Physical requirements:

- Stand and walk throughout the shift; frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive movements

- Routinely lift up to 25 lbs.; occasionally 50+ lbs.

- Depth perception and ability to adjust focus

- Ability to wear all required safety equipment (welding PPE, gloves, face shield)

- Able to work in a noisy and hot environment; hearing and heat protection provided

- Able to work in an environment where Lockout/Tagout is a standard safety practice

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in MIG and TIG welding
  • Technical school completion or equivalent combination of education andย on-the-job training and experience.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Familiar with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, or similar operating and software systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively and clearly to others.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Frequently lift, move, or position materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must remain in a stationary or standing position for the length of the shift.
