Responsibilities
  • Operate welding machines and tooling safely, adhering to all safety features and protocols.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including heat-resistant gloves, flame-resistant clothing, protective masks, and safety-toed footwear.
  • Review work orders, gather necessary tools and materials, and plan work procedures based on provided instructions and specifications.
  • Assess equipment, structures, and materials to determine appropriate welding positions and methods.
  • Perform MIG welding on steel components, ensuring welds meet both functional and aesthetic standards.
  • Maintain welding fixtures and tooling in proper working order.
  • Visually inspect weld quality and use inspection equipment to confirm compliance with part specifications.
  • Keep equipment and work areas organized and clean.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and production goals.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Willingness to test and pass a welder qualification test.
  • Experience with MIG welding, particularly with carbon and stainless-steel products.
