Location/Schedule: Byron, GA / 1st & 2nd Weekend Shift Available **Work for 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours!**
Requirements
What You'll Do:
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities of the role at a consistent and acceptable quality level.
  • Read, interpret, and apply all welding symbols and blueprints.
  • Apply knowledge of the physical characteristics and mechanical properties of metals to welding and fabrication decisions.
  • Perform arc gouging and plasma cutting as required.
  • Perform layout, stub-ups, and isolator pad installation for inner and outer tank assemblies.
  • Weld and fabricate a full tank area (inner, outer, or walls) from start to finish, ensuring minimal quality issues and adherence to WPS and quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve complex fabrication and welding issues with minimal supervision.
  • Ensure welding work meets or exceeds quality, safety, and productivity expectations.
  • Support shop efficiency, quality improvement, and best practices.
  • Maintain compliance with all shop safety practices and PPE requirements.

Who You Are:
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of advanced welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete all tasks independently and consistently.
  • Advanced ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex fabrication issues.
  • Ability to work in varied temperatures, including exposure to extreme heat during welding processes.
  • Manual dexterity to operate welding equipment and tools with precision.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces or elevated heights when necessary.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and visual acuity to inspect welds and materials.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work on feet for extended periods (8-12 hours per shift).
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl while performing welding tasks.
