Ce poste de superviseur de premiere ligne a pour mission de promouvoir la culture de securite avant tout de FedEx Express (FXE) et de gerer les operations de tri quotidiennes ainsi que l'equipe de manutentionnaires de fret au sein d'une succursale. Le superviseur a la responsabilite de diriger et de guider les employes dans la manipulation appropriee des colis, le routage et la resolution des eventuelles defaillances de service liees a la fonction de tri. Il supervise l'ensemble des activites des manutentionnaires, notamment en orientant leur travail, en leur prodiguant mentorat, coaching et formation, et en veillant au respect des politiques et procedures de FXE ainsi que des reglementations gouvernementales dans les processus administratifs.
This is a frontline supervisor position that supports the FedEx Express (FXE) Safety Above All Culture and manages specific day-to-day sort operations and assigned Cargo Handlers (CH) staff within a station. Responsible to lead and guide employees in proper package handling, routing and recovery of potential service failures within the station sort function. The Operations Supervisor has oversight for all CH functions, including the direction of work activities, employee mentoring/coaching/training ensuring administrative processes are compliant with FXE policies and procedures and government regulations

CONNAISSANCES, COMPETENCES, APTITUDES

Diplome collegial

Deux ans d'experience dans les operations de tri chez FedEx ou dans un poste horaire de niveau senior OU,

Deux ans d'experience en supervision dans un domaine apparente.

Posseder un permis de conduire valide et un bon dossier de conducteur.

Pouvoir soulever des charges de 70lb et de manuvrer, avec l'aide d'un appareil approprie, des colis pesant jusqu'a 150lb.

Aptitude a

Reussir la formation de base et la formation periodique (y compris l'obtention et le maintien d'un certificat de marchandises dangereuses).

Encadrer et agir comme source de connaissances pour les autres employes.

Inspirer une vision commune et autonomiser et motiver une equipe.

Hierarchiser et deleguer rapidement.

Traite et resout la gestion des conflits

Communique de maniere claire, concise et rapide. Ecoute et repond avec empathie.

Cherche a simplifier les processus de gestion tout en assurant la qualite.

Prend la responsabilite des echecs de son groupe et agit rapidement pour trouver une solution convenable.

Forte maitrise de l'organisation, de la planification et de l'analyse

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

College degree

2 years FedEx sort operations or senior level hourly role experience OR,

2 years supervisory experience in related industry

Must possess valid driver's license and a good driving record

EXCEL Leadership Development Stream (Preferred)

Ability to lift 70 lbs and to maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.

Ability to successfully complete all basic and recurrency training (including completing and maintaining DG certification

Ability to mentor, coach, and act as a knowledge resource to other employees

Ability to inspire a shared vision and empower and motivate a team

Ability to prioritize and delegate in a time-sensitive manner

Addresses and resolves conflict management

Communicates with others in a clear, concise, and timely manner. Listens and responds with empathy.

Seeks to simplify business processes while ensuring quality

Takes accountability for department failure and acts quickly to find a suitable solution

Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills
