Job description

ZoomInfo is where careers accelerate. We move fast, think boldly, and empower you to do the best work of your life. You’ll be surrounded by teammates who care deeply, challenge each other, and celebrate wins. With tools that amplify your impact and a culture that backs your ambition, you won’t just contribute. You’ll make things happen–fast.

Overview

We are seeking a Principal Product Analyst to own ZoomInfo's PLG measurement system - the framework that defines how the company evaluates customer adoption, monetization, retention, and growth across its product portfolio.

This is not a traditional reporting or dashboarding role. It is a strategic leadership role responsible for defining how the organization measures PLG success, identifying the behaviors that drive business outcomes, and generating the insights that shape product investments and growth strategy.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical depth with operational rigor and a builder mentality. They are comfortable operating in ambiguity, leading investigations from scratch, and influencing decisions across Product, Engineering, Go-To-Market, and Leadership teams. They also embrace AI-native ways of working, leveraging automation and emerging technologies to fundamentally improve how analytics is performed and scaled. PLG experience is a plus but not required.

Product Growth Measurement & Operating System
  • Define and own the measurement framework for ZoomInfo’s PLG motion, including acquisition, activation, engagement, monetization, retention, and expansion.
  • Establish the company’s source of truth for PLG performance, including KPI definitions, scorecards, executive reporting, and performance benchmarks.
  • Define leading indicators that predict customer activation, product adoption, conversion, retention, and expansion outcomes.
  • Ensure measurement consistency across products, teams, and business units, enabling a unified view of customer growth and product performance.
  • Develop scalable frameworks that connect customer behavior to business outcomes and investment decisions.
Customer Journey Analytics & Growth Diagnostics
  • Own analytical understanding of the end-to-end customer journey, from acquisition and onboarding through monetization and long-term retention.
  • Identify behavioral patterns, friction points, and conversion barriers that impact activation, adoption, retention, and expansion.
  • Develop customer segmentation frameworks that reveal differences in growth outcomes across personas, customer segments, and product experiences.
  • Lead investigations into significant changes in PLG performance, diagnosing root causes and quantifying business impact.
  • Identify the behaviors and product experiences most strongly associated with successful customer outcomes and long‑term value creation.
Product Strategy & Growth Insights
  • Influence product investment and roadmap decisions by quantifying opportunity size, identifying high‑leverage growth opportunities, and evaluating trade‑offs across competing initiatives.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to Product, Growth, and GTM leadership on customer behavior trends, adoption patterns, and monetization opportunities.
  • Build analytical frameworks that help teams prioritize investments across onboarding, activation, engagement, monetization, retention, and expansion.
  • Define measurement strategies for major product initiatives and ensure business impact is accurately assessed.
  • Guide experimentation efforts across the PLG funnel, helping teams prioritize, evaluate, and scale growth opportunities.
  • Deliver executive‑level insights that inform product strategy, growth planning, and resource allocation.
AI‑Native Analytics & Operational Excellence
  • Redesign analytics workflows around AI‑first operating principles rather than traditional manual processes.
  • Build automated systems that continuously monitor product performance, surface anomalies, and identify growth opportunities at scale.
  • Develop AI‑assisted investigation workflows that accelerate root‑cause analysis and reduce time‑to‑insight.
  • Establish scalable reporting and monitoring infrastructure that minimizes manual effort while maintaining analytical rigor.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging AI capabilities and incorporate them into the analytics operating model.
  • Improve self‑service analytics capabilities while maintaining governance, consistency, and trust in data.
Cross‑Functional Leadership
  • Act as a trusted strategic partner to Product, Engineering, Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership.
  • Align teams around a shared understanding of PLG performance, customer behavior, and growth priorities.
  • Lead cross‑functional initiatives from opportunity identification through execution, measurement, and business impact assessment.
  • Elevate analytical standards and foster a culture of data‑informed decision making across the organization.
About You
  • You think in customer journeys, growth loops, and behavioral systems rather than isolated metrics.
  • You enjoy solving ambiguous business problems and creating structure where none exists.
  • You are naturally curious about why customers adopt, convert, expand, or churn.
  • You balance strategic thinking with hands‑on analytical execution.
  • You are comfortable influencing senior stakeholders through data, storytelling, and business context.
  • You actively leverage AI tools such as Claude, Claude Code, or similar technologies to automate workflows, accelerate investigations, and improve analytical output.
What You Bring
  • 8+ years of experience in Product Analytics, Growth Analytics, Data Science, Business Intelligence, Customer Analytics, Strategy, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead large‑scale analytical initiatives with measurable business impact.
  • Advanced SQL, Python skills and strong analytical foundations.
  • Experience conducting deep‑Dive analyses into customer behavior, product performance, and business outcomes.
  • Strong statistical and experimentation knowledge.
  • Experience translating complex data into actionable business recommendations.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive decisions through data.
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills.
  • Experience building scalable reporting, monitoring, and operational processes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Product‑Led Growth or self‑service SaaS organizations.
  • Experience with SaaS business models and customer lifecycle analytics.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to improve analytical workflows and operational efficiency.
Success in This Role Means
  • ZoomInfo has a clear and consistent framework for measuring PLG success across products and teams.
  • Product and business leaders understand the behavioral drivers of activation, adoption, retention, and expansion.
  • Growth opportunities and performance risks are identified proactively rather than reactively.
  • Product investments are prioritized using measurable customer and business impact.
  • Analytics workflows scale efficiently through automation and AI‑enabled processes.
  • Cross‑functional teams view analytics as a strategic partner that shapes business decisions, not just a reporting function.
