Job description

What you get to do: This position is responsible for all overnight cleaning responsabilities gerally in Hotels and Resorts. Overnight shifts are the the shifts where all deep cleaning and heavy work is conducted. Will make our customers “shine”. 

Your day-to-day: 

  • Prepares ovens, sinks and other dirty restaurant equipment for cleaning. 

  • Uses ice, water and cleaning solvent in the cleaning of restaurant kitchen equipment. 

  • Empties trash in kitchens. Cleans and wipes down tables and chairs. 

  • Washes and scrubs kitchen floors. Cleans food scraps from kitchen areas. 

  • Mops, sweeps, strips, grinds and polishes marble floors. 

  • Vacuums carpets. 

  • Cleans public restrooms. 

  • Smiles and is friendly when interacting with co-workers, guests and property employees. 

  • Follows all required safety and standard operating procedures. 

  • Asks supervisor or other employees for help when needed. 

  • Is open to coaching and feedback from supervisor.  

  • Works weekends and holidays. 

  • Acts as a role model to other service companies employees.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Prior experience required. Depending on the role degree may be required.  

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors. Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or telephone. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
