Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Grocery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our grocery store. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for retail sales, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As the Grocery Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring inventory accuracy, and optimizing sales performance while maintaining a positive shopping experience for our customers. You will assist in opening and / or closing the store. Responsibilities Lead and manage all aspects of grocery store operations, including staffing, training, and performance management. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize revenue and profitability. Maintain an organized and efficient store layout that enhances the shopping experience. Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment to prevent shortages or overstock situations. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the store environment. Foster a positive team culture through effective communication and motivation. Comfortable with using technology such as computers, POS register systems, hand scanners, printers etc Comfortable with opening and closing the store per company needs. Qualifications At least 1 year of management experience is required. Must have basic knowledge of POS register systems. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries effectively. Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and suppliers to achieve optimal results. Proficient in using retail management software and tools for inventory tracking. A keen understanding of grocery store operations, including merchandising strategies. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and develop team members. Open Availability and Weekends are a requirement for all Manager and Lead associates.
