The role will be to collaborate closely with the Training and Development department to ensure that all machine operators complete the required training, and that they are suitably certified.The qualified individual should have significant previous experience working in training in a manufacturing environment and should have knowledge of how the plant’s machines and equipment operate. The candidate should be skilled in conducting plant training and should have the ability to ensure that each worker fully understands what is expected, thereby ensuring their safety.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Oversee the daily functions of the Training and Development department.Review SOPs and JIBs written by the Training and Development department.Ensure that all plant training is completed, recorded, and in compliance with internal procedures and relevant legislation.Provide training on how to operate plant equipment and machinery.Ensure that all machine operators are trained and certified.Maintain all necessary records.Complete administrative tasks as required.Perform other duties as assigned.Education and Experience:Education High School Diploma or equivalent is required.Preferred Experience: Five or more years of experience in training in a manufacturing environment.Must be 18 years or older.Competencies and Skills:Knowledge of the operations of the plant’s equipment and machinery.Knowledge of the product the plant is producing.Good computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Suite.Good training abilities.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks.Good verbal and written communication skills, as well as good listening skills.Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods and Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer.Ability to stand and move about the plant for prolonged periods.Ability to perform physical activities, such as lifting items of up to 20 lbs. unassisted, bending, standing, climbing, or walking.Visual and hearing acuity.Note: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment:Works in a manufacturing plant and in a general office environment.Will be required to wear suitable Personal Protective Equipment as needed.May be exposed to the loud noise of production line machinery.May occasionally be exposed to wet, humid conditions and extreme temperatures.May, on rare occasions, be exposed to oils and vibration.May be required to work near moving mechanical parts and be exposed to the risk of electric shock. #J-18808-Ljbffr
