*Pay will be determined by your skill level, experience, and knowledge as an Automotive Technician. 

As an Automotive Technician at Greenville Chevrolet, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing vehicles. You will work with a team of experienced mechanics to ensure all customer vehicles are maintained, repaired, and cared for to the highest standards. We are currently looking for applicants with skill levels that range from Entry Level Technician to a GM Master Technician.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performing diagnostic tests to identify vehicle problems
  • Repairing and replacing parts on vehicles
  • Conducting routine maintenance and inspections
  • Test driving vehicles to ensure proper functionality
  • Documenting all work performed and parts used
  • Communicating with customers regarding vehicle issues and repairs
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry advancements and new technologies
  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and per the dealership
  • Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems 
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed
  • Provide estimates needed for additional repairs
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive systems and repairs
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent manual dexterity
  • Ability to operate and use automotive diagnostic equipment
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2+ years of Technician experience preferred
  • ASE or equivalent Certification is a Bonus
  • General Motors Certification is a Big Bonus
  • A-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair
  • Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies
  • Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
