Position Overview
Southall Church is a healthy, multiplying church in Franklin, TN with a vision to bring the life of Jesus to our families, neighbors and nations. We are seeking a High School Student Director to lead Southall Students into becoming a vibrant, missional community, passionate about Jesus and actively engaging their peers with the gospel
Role Summary
The The High School Student Director provides vision, leadership, and oversight for the student ministry (middle and high school), with the goal of helping students know Jesus, grow in their faith, and live on mission. This role equips leaders, partners with parents, and builds a healthy, engaging ministry that raises up the next generation of disciples.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide overall leadership and ownership of the Southall Student Ministry, ensuring a healthy, growing, and impactful environment for students
  • Develop and lead engaging, high-quality weekly gatherings (Wednesday nights) where students encounter Jesus, grow in their faith, and are discipled; includes teaching and equipping additional communicators
  • Plan and execute key ministry moments and events, including retreats, camps, and outreach initiatives
  • Recruit, equip, and shepherd all volunteers to serve as spiritual leaders, creating a culture where every student feels known, cared for, and loved
  • Build and maintain consistent, clear communication with parents and leaders through email, text, and other platforms
  • Support and implement a strategic and engaging social media presence that supports and advances the vision of Southall Students
  • Partner with parents by equipping and resourcing them to be the primary disciplers of their students
  • Cultivate a strong, visible presence on local middle and high school campuses by mobilizing staff, volunteers, and students
  • Collaborate with Southall Kids and Southall Young Adults to create clear and intentional pathways for student transition and continued discipleship
  • Other duties as needed by the Net Gen Director

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and manage systems effectively with a strong relational capacity
  • Proven ability to lead and support volunteer teams
  • Excellent organizational leader, with a driven personality that thrives in high-pressure situations
  • Great communication skills; Interpersonal, Non-Verbal, Written & Oral
  • Previous experience leading a Student Ministry

SCHEDULE: Sunday - Thursday
HOURS: 40 (must be available for special events, church meetings, etc)
COMPENSATION: TBD
STAFF LEVEL: Director: reports to the Next Gen Director
