We're on a mission to raise the bar for our industry, and that starts with hiring great people, treating them right, and giving them the chance to grow with us.

Ryan Lawn & Tree is expanding our Plant Health Care team and is seeking dedicated individuals who are passionate about tree and plant wellness, enjoy working outdoors, and are committed to delivering excellent customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing tailored plant health care programs to maintain the beauty of our clients' landscapes.

  • Operate a 300-gallon John Bean spray rig equipped with a 400-foot hose daily to execute annual maintenance plans for our clientele.
  • Communicate professional recommendations and service details effectively to clients.
  • Consistently deliver high-quality results by effectively collaborating with a team while also having the ability to work autonomously.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of plant identification, common diseases, and insect pests.
  • Advance your professional expertise and position by actively participating in our structured, education-focused talent development program.
Requirements:

What You'll Bring (Qualifications)

  • A degree in horticulture or agricultural sciences is preferred but not required.
  • A strong aptitude for learning is essential; prior experience in horticulture or a related field is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and a reliable, detail-oriented work ethic are a must.
  • The ability to obtain a state pesticide applicator license within the first three months of employment.
  • Physical capability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain DOT certification.

** SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION: This is a safety-sensitive position requiring the operation of vehicles and equipment. All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana), criminal background check, MVR check, and DOT physical (where applicable) before starting employment. Candidates must meet all screening requirements as a condition of employment.

We hire great people for our employee-owned company. As a member of our team, you'll become a partner in the highest-quality lawn and tree company in the Midwest.
