Job description

Hiring experienced CDL-A drivers on a dedicated fleet out of St. George, UT. Drivers on this Family Dollar account haul dry freight within a multi-state area. This position is ideal for drivers wanting to do more than drive and stay active.

  • Valid CDL-A plus 3+ months of Class A CDL experience required

  • This lane is not suitable for students, recent graduates, or trainees.

Lane Details:

  • Dedicated account with Family Dollar hauling all dry freight to customer locations throughout Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregan, Utah, Washington and Wyoming

  • Average 1,700 miles, 2 loads per week, and 3 stops per load

  • Start time is 6AM with up to 14 hour shift

  • Home Time: Weekly 34-hour reset. Drivers living in Las Vegas will be out 2 weeks at a time followed by 3 days home

  • Unload the trailer using rollers (requires climbing in and out of the trailer as necessary)

  • Days off vary based on freight demand, but will fall during the weekdays in most instances

  • Top-of-the-line, tandem-axle, sleeper trucks pulling 53-ft dry van trailers

Accessorial Pay Details:

  • Layover 24 hours - $200 per day

  • Breakdown 24 hours - $200 per day

  • Training/Retraining Pay - $200 per day

  • Backhaul Pickup - $25 per load 

  • St George Backhaul Pickup - $15 per load, $15 for Dunnage

  • Mentor Pay - $50 per day - $250 per week

  • Mentor Road Test - $50 per road test

  • Clean DOT Inspection - $25 

  • Safe and On Time Bonus - Up to 3% Weekly

Driver Requirements:

  • Valid Class A CDL

  • 21 Years of age or older

  • 3 months or more of recent CDL-A experience
