POSITION SUMMARY:  

Ensure the reliable and efficient delivery of all products scheduled for distribution, manage drivers, and handle customer delivery issues.
 

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.

  • Interact with Sales and Dispatch Departments to ensure dependable delivery service.
  • Maximize delivery efficiencies by achieving daily case targets and daily customer stop targets.
  • Ensure proposed scheduling of personnel.
  • Manage driver check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Review and investigate previous day’s results as necessary.
  • Complete and review daily route surveys.
  • Follow up on merchandising performance by drivers.
  • Respond to all driver issues.
  • Manage driver returns and breakage on trucks.
  • Manage/respond to customer issues.
  • Interact with Warehouse/Dispatch/Sales Departments relative to issues and resolution.
  • Maintain daily performance log, report warehouse loading results.
  • Document and investigate all driver accidents, personal injuries reports.
  • Ensure all company policies are communicated and followed.
  • Inspect company vehicles and equipment regularly.
  • Performs other duties as required.

 EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:

  • Equivalent of (1) Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or closely related field and minimum of 2 years of directly applicable experience as a delivery driver, sales representative and/or sales manager; OR (2) 7 years of directly applicable experience as a delivery driver, sales representative and/or sales manager.
  • CDL/DOT card.
  • Must maintain a valid Driver’s License.
  • Experience developing comprehensive strategies, business and sales plans, and schedules.
  • Three years experience recruiting, hiring, leading, and managing performance for an outside delivery/sales team.
  • Experience with MS Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Previous experience in a union environment.

COMPENSATION RANGE:

Earn up to $80,000.00 per year including base, overtime and commissions!

Starting at $12.1336 hourly however, you will potentially earn a minimum of $1,000.00 a week or more.
