Job Description

The Tank Cleaning Technician performs physical labor tasks at tank farms, terminals, power plants, refineries, etc.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proper completion of all cleaning orders as well as personal compliance with all company policies
  • Responsible for removal of tank pumps, fill valves, and other accessories to gain access to the tank
  • Responsible for ensuring that all tanks and peripheral equipment are cleaned to meet proper company standards for quality control Loads hoses, chemicals, and other equipment required for an assigned job onto a truck
  • Responsible for ensuring that all tanks and peripheral equipment are cleaned to meet proper company standards for quality control
  • Hooks up and breaks down tank accessories using proper tools, gaskets, and Teflon tape, as directed by the supervisor
  • Responsible for the proper servicing of all external valves, pumps, fittings, hose connections, and hose tubes on the trailer/ container

Requirements:

  • 30% travel - in and out of town for extended periods
  • Travel expenses paid for
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certified (provided when hired)
  • TWIC Card Holder
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions.
  • Ability to climb multiple stairs while carrying materials weighing between 40 and 60 pounds.
  • Working inside Confined Spaces
  • Working in extreme weather conditions for 10+ hours a day (heat and cold)
  • Average 60 hours a work week Monday - Saturday
