WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As a Compliance Analysis and Improvement Specialist, you will:

• Apply social science methodologies and evaluation frameworks to assess program effectiveness, compliance, and outcomes in ORR-funded refugee and unaccompanied alien children (UAC) programs.
• Design and evaluate data collection methodologies, including surveys, structured interviews, focus groups, and administrative data collection processes; Develop and refine monitoring instruments and data collection tools using research and evaluation best practices to ensure alignment with study objectives and data quality standards.
• Develop new approaches and methods when established procedures are insufficient to meet program objectives; Refine monitoring instruments, data collection methodologies, and evaluation processes to improve consistency, reliability, and data quality.
• Apply statistical and analytic techniques to evaluate relationships between program characteristics, service delivery models, and outcomes; Produce research reports, evaluation summaries, and analytical products to inform leadership decision-making and program improvements.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Basic Qualifications: You must possess one of the following:

• Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.

OR

• Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

OR

• Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

AND
Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year of specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following:

• Developing and maintaining standards, policy and/or procedure to ensure program compliance with federal policies,
  procedures, and regulations for programs serving unaccompanied alien children or refugee populations.
• Designing, updating, and maintaining monitoring and oversight tools and templates used to evaluate program performance
  and compliance in programs serving unaccompanied alien children or refugee populations.
• Developing and revising monitoring procedures, evaluation protocols, and operational guidance to promote consistency, accuracy, and quality assurance across programs serving unaccompanied alien children or refugee populations.
• Developing or maintaining data tracking systems, dashboards, or reporting tools to monitor program compliance and
  performance, including technical skills and expertise.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.
