The Menchey School of Music, part of Menchey Music Service, is home to a thriving private lesson program that serves students throughout the region. As the area’s largest family-owned music retailer, we’re proud to offer high-quality music instruction in a welcoming, organized, and supportive studio environment.


We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic and dependable cello instructor to join our team at our Reading studio. This is a great opportunity for a teacher who enjoys building strong student relationships, creating engaging lessons, and being part of a music-centered community that truly values education.


Availability Needed:
One weeknight from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM or one recurring 4-hour block on Saturdays

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • A strong musical background demonstrated by at least 2 years of college-level music training, 5 years of teaching or professional performance experience, or an equivalent combination
  • A bachelor’s degree in music education, performance, or a related field is preferred; candidates currently working toward a degree are also encouraged to apply
  • Experience working with a variety of learners of all ages and skill levels is preferred
  • Ability to successfully complete an initial background check, as well as recurring background checks every three years as a condition of employment
