Job description

Algorithm Principal Systems Engineer โ€“ Plano, Texas

Onsite, U.S. Citizens only (Top Secret security clearance required).

Salary range: 107,500 USD โ€“ 204,500 USD.

Responsibilities
  • Support algorithm development and analysis activities across multiple programs and internal research & development efforts within the Advanced Sensor Programs portfolio.
  • Provide technical direction to a small team of algorithm analysts.
  • Support the chief engineer and the lead systems engineer.
QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline such as engineering, physics, or mathematics.
  • Eight (8) years or more of documented work and/or academic experience in algorithm development.
  • Experience in signal processing algorithms or models, image processing algorithms or models, detection theory or machine learning.
  • UNIX/Linux proficiency and proven programming skills in C/C++ and MATLAB or Python for data analysis.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. governmentโ€‘issued security clearance (Top Secret).
Preferred
  • Top Secret security clearance (current).
  • Experience developing signalโ€‘processing algorithms for airborne surveillance applications, signal and image processing, digital communications, detection and estimation theory, or AI/ML and training techniques.
  • Strong mathematical modeling and problemโ€‘solving abilities.
  • Experience with realโ€‘time programming, software changeโ€‘management tools and processes.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams and providing subjectโ€‘matter guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
