The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. In case of emergency the employee must be able to lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. - Ensure bus is empty of students after each run, verifying no students are on the bus.
- Maintain orderly conduct of student passengers, remaining alert to students' needs and interacting appropriately
- Assist with loading and unloading students, as well as seating and safety belting students
- Learn the route in order to assist a substitute driver
- Maintain pleasant personality as well as clean and neat appearance
- Maintain confidentiality
- Attend meetings and training sessions as directed

- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents
