Duties:

- Conduct training sessions for new truck drivers to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.

- Teach trainees how to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles and provide guidance on shifting gears effectively.

- Train drivers on specific types of trucks, such as flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and tractor-trailers.

-Follow the syllabus and lessons set forth by the Head Instructor and promote a safe and friendly learning environment.

-Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.

-Provide appropriate and honest feedback progress to the student.

-Must be comfortable teaching students Theory (E.L.D.T.) in a classroom setting.

Experience:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience driving Class A CDL Tractor/Trailer.

- Proficient in operating various types of trucks, including flatbeds, dump trucks, bucket trucks and tractor-trailers.

- Extensive knowledge of manual transmission vehicles and ability to teach proper shifting techniques.

- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements for commercial driving.

- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey information and instructions to trainees.

Qualifications:

-Current DOT Health card

-Must have clean MVR and Background

-Must pass a pre-employment skills test

-Valid Class A-unrestricted CDL License

-Must be able to stand for long periods in both indoor and outdoor settings where weather conditions vary.

-Must be available Monday-Friday from 7:30AM - 5PM

-Instructors must meet the minimum qualifications for interstate tractor-trailer drivers in accordance with all requirements of the applicable Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, including, but not limited to, meeting the physical and driver qualification standards of Part 391, as well as be able to pass as D.O.T. drug/alcohol screen.

Pay Depends on experience.
