We're On The Mark Utility Locating Services, and we're hiring Utility Locating Technicians to help protect underground infrastrucuture before digging or construction happens. What You'll Be Doing

  • Use a company tablet and electronic tools - RF & GPR technologies - to locate various types of underground utility lines
  • Read utility maps and mark underground lines using spray paint and/or flags
  • Safely drive to job sites throughout the area (vehicle provided)
  • Communicate with contractors, utility reps, and your team
  • Provide accurate and detailed documentation, pictures/videos to document your work
  • Perform light digging (e.g., uncovering manholes or valve boxes)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must have 3+ years of experience using multiple types of locating equipment and locating various types of underground facilities
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Good with technology (basic tablet/GPS use)
  • Can lift ~40 lbs., kneel, walk, and work independently
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
  • Willing to consent to random drug/alcohol testing and GPS tracking (company vehicle/device)

      DOT / Drug & Alcohol Testing Compliance:

This position is safety-sensitive and subject to U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing regulations. As a condition of employment, employees must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and remain eligible for random testing. Marijuana use is prohibited for this position under federal DOT regulations, regardless of New York State or any other state law. A positive test for marijuana will result in removal from safety-sensitive duties and may result in termination of employment.
