Job description

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE COMPANY
Bulk Merchandisers work in local stores to keep our products fully stocked on the shelves and in the coolers. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining product availability and maintaining products at all designated accounts. The focus of this job is on producing high quality, detailed work. In addition: Bulk Merchandisers participate in our CDL School in order to obtain their Class A license. The responsibility of this position is managing specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence. You will require above average attention to details, concern for the exact correctness of work, and strong commitment to tasks completed on time. You will be task oriented, requiring you to be conservative, careful, and cautious in your approach to work.
WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Must study for and successfully pass CDL permit test prior to logging hours toward obtaining Class A CDL license.
  • Ride along with partner and/or drives truck to deliver and merchandiser beer and non-alcoholic drinks to customer's place or business.
  • Collects money from customers, makes change, and records transactions on customer receipt.
  • Records deliveries information on daily delivery record.
  • Informs regular customers of new products or services.
  • Listens to and resolves service complaints.
  • Places stock on shelves or racks.
  • Sets up merchandise and displays or issues point of sale materials to customers.
  • Collects or picks up empty containers of rejected or unsold merchandise.
  • Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
  • Maintains a clean truck.
  • Performs routine pre and post trip on truck and assigned equipment.

  • Ability to repetitively push and pull manual transport equipment (for example, pallet jack, hand truck) containing product loads a minimum of 100 yards without assistance.
  • Ability to repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to exert oneself physically over sustained periods of time to complete job activities.
  • Ability to read information in small, medium, and large print.
  • Ability to stand a minimum of 6 hours during the workday.
  • Ability to walk a minimum of 4 miles during the workday.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Valid AZ driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Must be 20 years of age.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Must be able to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, and other employees of the organization.
  • Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
