    Position Overview:

    The Steel Erection Planner (St. Louis-based; Minimal travel) is responsible for providing schedule, erection sequencing, logistics, and equipment selection on steel erection scopes for pursuits and awarded projects.

    • Ability to create the project start-up guide & quality assurance program.
    • Capability to help read and build a 1-2 month look ahead work schedule.
    • Scheduling of labor, materials, equipment and is knowledgeable on EWM procedures.
    • Experience with the purchase of project construction materials.
    • Read and understand contracts with both owners and subcontractors.
    • Develops and maintains relationships with owners, engineers, craft workforce and other contractors.
    • Participates in project planning meetings.
    • Sets sequence and directions for field and subcontractor work forces.
    • Ability to assist PM on estimating change orders.
    • Ability to prepare and sequence site logistics within budget and schedule restraint.
    • Foresees and mitigates schedule conflicts with subcontractors and self-performed work.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 10+ years of experience in the construction field as a Supervisor.
    • Expertise with self-perform steel erection scopes of significant size.
    • Corresponds through and is proficient with Microsoft suite applications, in addition to familiarity with Primavera and Procore.
