Job description

Coho Consulting Group is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide financial planning, budgeting, accounting, and contract support for Government Information Technology programs at Coronado, CA. The Financial Analyst will assist with budget formulation, financial reporting, invoice reconciliation, procurement tracking, and financial analysis while supporting Government leadership in effective resource management.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Assist in developing and maintaining Government budgets and financial plans.
  • Monitor budget execution and expenditures.
  • Perform financial analysis and forecasting activities.
  • Support invoice reconciliation and procurement tracking.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Analyze budget trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist with financial documentation supporting Government contracts.
  • Monitor contract funding and expenditure status.
  • Maintain financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Support financial audits and compliance reviews.
  • Collaborate with program managers and Government stakeholders.
  • Assist with continuous improvement of financial reporting processes.

Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Security Clearance
    • Active Top-Secret Clearance required
  • Education:
    • No degree required.
    • Relevant education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline is preferred
    • Experience supporting Government or Department of Defense financial operations preferred
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills
