Job Title: Security Guard
Location: Embassy Suites by Hilton, Baton Rouge, LA
Reports To: Security Supervisor / General Manager

Position Summary

The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, team members, and property at Embassy Suites Baton Rouge. This role involves patrolling the hotel premises, monitoring surveillance systems, responding to incidents, and upholding a secure environment in accordance with hotel policies and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patrol and monitor all areas of the hotel, including entrances, guest floors, parking areas, and back-of-house.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems for unusual activity.
  • Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and guest or employee reports of suspicious behavior.
  • Assist in emergency situations, including evacuations, medical incidents, and fire alarms.
  • Document all security-related activities, incidents, and irregularities in daily reports.
  • Enforce hotel policies and procedures, including access control and loss prevention measures.
  • Work closely with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
  • Provide courteous assistance to guests and staff while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Conduct safety inspections and report hazards or maintenance needs.
  • Assist with crowd control and security during special events or high-occupancy periods.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
