We are seeking an experienced NICET II Certified Fire Alarm Field Engineer / Manager to support a large national retail program. This is not a typical inspection role. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted technical expert, validating installations, troubleshooting complex fire alarm systems, ensuring quality standards, and supporting field teams in delivering reliable life safety solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate commercial fire alarm installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, manufacturer standards, and applicable codes.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex fire alarm system issues.
  • Perform system testing, commissioning, and quality assurance inspections.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to field technicians and project teams.
  • Review installation quality and verify systems are installed correctly.
  • Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with project managers, customers, and subcontractors to ensure successful project completion.
  • Prepare service reports, inspection documentation, and project records.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and company safety policies.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships while representing the organization professionally.
Required Qualifications
  • NICET Level II Certification in Fire Alarm Systems (Required).
  • 5+ years of experience installing, servicing, troubleshooting, commissioning, or inspecting commercial fire alarm systems.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and commercial fire alarm codes and standards.
  • Experience with commercial fire alarm systems and life safety equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting large retail or multi-site commercial projects.
