Join the founding team to support a new employer-sponsored 24-hour onsite child care client center and help build the high-quality program children deserve while pursuing your own professional growth and development.
About The Role
As a Head Teacher, you will:
  • Lead a classroom by creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children
  • Create and implement lesson plans for a developmentally appropriate, child-centered curriculum based on children's interests and developmental needs
  • Ensure full compliance with state licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and ratio requirements
  • Observe, assess, and document children's development and learning
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with families through daily communication and partnership
  • Mentor and support Assistant Teachers within the classroom
  • Maintain organized, accurate classroom records in alignment with licensing requirements
  • Collaborate with school leadership to continuously improve classroom quality and practices
Apply Today If You:
  • Have 1-3+ years of experience working in a licensed early childhood education setting.
  • Hold a CDA (Child Development Associate), Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).
  • Meet, or are eligible to meet, Alabama DHR qualifications for a Lead/Head Teacher in a licensed child care program.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of child development, developmentally appropriate practices, and the Alabama Early Learning and Development Standards.
  • Understand, or are willing to learn, Alabama DHR licensing requirements, including supervision, health and safety, staff-to-child ratios, and documentation expectations.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues through professionalism and effective communication.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom leadership, organization, and the ability to support a high-quality early learning environment.

Our newest center in Huntsville, Alabama (License Application Pending) is being specifically built to support the needs of the Toyota families, and will include the most up-to-date materials and equipment to ensure teachers have everything they need to deliver a high-quality educational experience.
