Davidson Technologies is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama to support the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) program. The selected candidate will work with the cybersecurity team to integrate cybersecurity guidance into DevOps procedures being used to build IBCS software in support of cybersecurity efforts to maintain an ATO package.
Essential Functions:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment with customer involvement
  • Coordinate with systems engineering, software, integration/test, configuration management, and program stakeholders to support cybersecurity execution across the system lifecycle
  • Apply systems thinking to evaluate cybersecurity impacts across system architecture, operational constraints, and mission needs

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM field with 2 years of cyber systems experience
  • Must currently possess DoD 8140/8570 certification (e.g. Security+ CE).
  • Experience with implementing DevSecOps lifecycle - continuous build, integration, test, deployment, cyber, monitoring.
  • Experience with one of the following source-control systems: GIT, GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket, Subversion.
  • Experience working with software developers and/or vendors as needed to help diagnose and identify the root cause of problems.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Software Assurance (Knowledge of Software Assurance) static and dynamic code analysis (e.g., Fortify/SonarQube)SwA) static and dynamic code analysis (e.g., Fortify/SonarQube)
  • Support preparation and presentation of cybersecurity and systems engineering materials for program reviews, working groups, and stakeholder discussions.
  • Experience generating or working with a Software Bill of Materials (SBOM).
  • Familiarity with container hardening.

  • Must have an Active DoD Secret security clearance
