Job description

Director of Nursing (DON) - Resident Care Director | Alto Boynton Ridge
Are you a compassionate clinical leader ready to make a real difference in the lives of seniors? Alto Boynton Ridge is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (Resident Care Director) to lead our clinical team and elevate the quality of care across our assisted living and memory care neighborhoods.
This is more than a nursing leadership role - it's an opportunity to shape the resident experience, mentor a dedicated care team, and be a trusted partner to residents and their families during some of life's most meaningful moments.
What You'll Do:
As our Director of Nursing, you'll oversee all aspects of resident care delivery, ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and person-centered service. You'll lead resident assessments and care planning, manage medication administration processes, and provide hands-on supervision and coaching to our caregiving and nursing staff. You'll serve as a key liaison with families, physicians, and outside healthcare partners, and you'll play a critical role in maintaining a safe, compliant, and welcoring community for every resident we serve.
What We're Looking For:
  • Active LPN or RN license in good standing
  • 2-3+ years of experience in assisted living, long-term care, memory care, or a related healthcare setting
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in resident care strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated skill in resident assessments, individualized care planning, medication management, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and family communication
  • A heart for seniors and a leadership style rooted in empathy, accountability, and clear communication

Why Alto Boynton Ridge?
Our community is built on the belief that exceptional care starts with an exceptional team. As Director of Nursing, you'll have the autonomy to lead your department while being backed by a supportive leadership structure that values clinical expertise and genuine resident advocacy. This is a chance to bring your nursing leadership experience to a role where your voice matters and your impact is felt every single day.
If you're a driven clinical leader looking for a role where compassion meets purpose, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply today and bring your leadership to a team that's redefining senior living care.
The Resident Care Director (RCD) is responsible for oversight of the day-to-day activities in Assisted Living (AL), including resident services, associate management, general administration, and physical maintenance. Provision of excellent resident services in accordance with all applicable law and regulations to achieve a deficiency-free survey is essential.
The RCD must maintain excellent service, high occupancy, and high resident and associate satisfaction in alignment with the goal of the Community.
Areas of Responsibility
  • Create an individualized service plan for each resident in AL with input from Resident Assistants, updating per policy and as needed. Ensure the team maintains current knowledge of residents' activities of daily living (ADL) needs and requirements.
  • Identify the ongoing needs of residents to maintain the highest level of wellbeing.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels through effective scheduling and maintain department staffing schedules utilizing the electronic payroll system.
  • Work closely and maintain daily communications with the Assistant Resident Care Director and/or Program Director for Memory Care in administering and managing the Department, thereby ensuring continuity of care and services for the residents.
  • Communicate with families, residents, and appropriate health care providers regarding areas of concern and collaborate to find solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned - see full job description.

Qualifications
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Minimum two (2) year's experience in Long Term Care, AL, or other equivalent geriatric care with AL training, with demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of the elderly.
  • At least one (1) year supervisory nursing experience.
  • Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
  • The Community is a drug free workplace; associates are subject to adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.
  • Licensed RN or LPN in good standing with the state licensing agency, as required by state regulations.
  • Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems a plus.
