Join a Growing Airport in a Dynamic Operations Role
Avports is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Landside Operations Coordinator to support day-to-day terminal and landside operations at Tweed New Haven Airport (HVN).
HVN is undergoing a major transformation, including a new terminal and expanded operations-creating an exciting opportunity to join a growing team focused on delivering safe, efficient, and customer-focused airport operations.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will support the safe and efficient operation of airport landside areas, including roadways, parking, passenger flow, and terminal support functions. You will play a key role in coordinating daily operations, responding to incidents, and ensuring a high-quality passenger experience in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control traffic flow across roadways, curbsides, and parking areas
  • Support passenger flow, wayfinding, and overall terminal operations
  • Respond to incidents, emergencies, and service requestsin accordance withairport procedures
  • Address passenger inquiries and concerns, ensuringtimelyresolution and a positive experience
  • Conduct routine inspections of landside and terminal areas for safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness
  • Monitor parking and curbside operations to support efficient service and revenue control
  • Oversee activities on the terminal ramp, including fueling coordination and ground support operations
  • Escort vendors and contractors and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
  • Support airport security programs, including monitoring access control, surveillance systems, and inspections
  • Assistwith snow and ice operations and weather response as needed
  • Maintain operational logs, incident reports, and communicate updates to leadership

What You Bring
  • High school diplomarequired; technical training or associate's degree preferred
  • At least one (1) year of experience in airport operations, security, or a related field (or equivalent education)
  • Basic knowledge of airport environments, operations, or safety procedures
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a high-volume, public-facing environment
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in dynamic or emergency situations
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain airport driving privileges

Additional Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Mustbe authorized towork in the United States without sponsorship
  • Must successfully pass TSA background screening and obtain airport security clearance
  • Must meet FAA Part 139 training and operational requirements

Work Environment
  • Primarily works in a busy airport terminal and landside environment, including passenger areas, curbside, roadways, and parking facilities, with occasional access to airside locations
  • Regular exposure to passenger traffic, vehicle activity, varying weather conditions, and moderate noise levels, requiring continuous movement and situational awareness
  • This is an essential position requiring availability for shift work, including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency response, supporting 24/7 airport operations.
