The Shuttle Driver is responsible for providing attentive, courteous, and efficient transportation assistance to all guests during check-in, throughout their stay, and at checkout. CDL not required.
Education & Experience:
  • Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Driving history in order to be considered for employment as a van driver.
Physical Requirements:
  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
  • Physical, intensive work â€" Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to stand during entire shift.
Mental Requirements:
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Must be able to work well in stressful, high pressure situations.
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
  • Must maintain composure and objectivity while under pressure.
Essential:
  • Transports guests to and from hotel.
  • Assists with luggage to and from guest rooms.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Expotel Hospitality Service standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
  • Comply at all times with Expotel Hospitality Service standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees.
  • Establish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow employees and other departments within the hotel.
  • Answer guest inquires about hotel services, facilities and hours of operation in a timely manner. Offers information pertaining to available services and facilities of hotel, points of interest and entertainment attractions.
  • Answer inquires from guests regarding restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc.
  • Be familiar with all in-house groups.
  • Have knowledge of emergency procedures and assist as needed.
  • Use proper two-way radio etiquette at all times when communication with other employees.
  • Explains features of guest rooms to guests.
  • Calls taxiâ€'s for guests.
  • Ensures routine maintenance is performed on Company owned vehicles.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Attend meetings/training as required by management.
  • Perform other duties as required by management.
