Principal Implementation Consultant, (CPA)

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Team collaboration with the delivery of products and services
  • Work with cross-functional teams to create actionable product requirements
  • Participate in customer engagement to ensure high satisfaction and continuous relationship building by expanding product offerings
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for aspects of the product line being supported, with particular authority over revenue management, lease accounting, financial reporting, and audit-readiness
  • Responsible for product software delivery through implementation and training services
  • Act as a trusted CPA advisor to airport finance teams and controllers, interpreting GASB and public-sector reporting standards for their environment during implementation
  • Participate in cross functional teams and group collaboration to drive necessary processes and ensure product reliability and stability
  • Provide product support to the customer base, including financial reporting inquiries
  • Continually innovate and expand the software solutions
  • Assist sales by defining scope for product demonstrations and RFPs, particularly for prospects with complex financial or GASB requirements
  • Track GASB and FAA revenue-use rule changes and translate implications into implementation and configuration practices
  • Provide structured, validated financial and configuration feedback to Product Management team to inform the product roadmap
  • Confidentiality, this position may come in contact with confidential business information and it's important to refrain from using or disclosing any such information outside the company

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business management, or a related field
  • Active CPA license (or actively being pursued)
  • 5-7 years' experience as a Consultant, Implementation Specialist, or similar client-facing delivery role
  • Strong technical accounting background in U.S. GAAP (or IFRS/ASPE), including internal controls and financial reporting, with demonstrated ability to bridge commercial accounting into public-sector (GASB) practice
  • Accrual accounting fluency - full-accrual reporting for self-supporting / enterprise-type entities
  • Financial reporting experience. Compiling or reviewing financial statements and required supplementary information (e.g., MD&A)
  • Airport, transit, or public-sector accounting experience a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and familiarity with major ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, or Microsoft Dynamics)
  • High-energy, results-driven with a demonstrated ability to follow direction
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and successfully apply them to completing tasks
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with an attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with strong intuition, integrity, and credibility
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills with an ability to communicate effectively and persuasively to internal and external stakeholders, including airport finance leadership

Assets & Nice-to-Haves:
  • Public-sector / GASB knowledge, including GASB 103 (financial reporting model), GASB 87 (leases), and GASB 96 (SBITAs)
  • Enterprise / proprietary fund accounting and working knowledge of governmental-fund (modified accrual) concepts
  • Airport revenue-management knowledge, including aeronautical revenue (landing fees, terminal rents, rate-setting methodologies) and non-aeronautical revenue (parking, concessions, leases)
  • Familiarity with FAA revenue-use rules and federal reporting forms (5100-126 / 5100-127)
