Job description

Jekyll Island Seafood Company gives travelers in ATL’s International Terminal a taste of the Georgia coast, along with classic American favorites. We’re looking for a reliable, hard-working Utility Team Member to keep our kitchen running smoothly. This role is the backbone of our operation—supporting dishwashing, basic prep, and overall cleanliness so our cooks and servers can focus on great food and hospitality.

Our current team is professional and has worked together for years, creating a small, family-like atmosphere with consistent guest traffic all day.

What You’ll Do

Dishwashing & Cleaning

• Wash dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils using dish machines and sinks

• Keep dish area, floors, and trash stations clean, organized, and safe

• Take out trash, break down boxes, and maintain a clean back-of-house environment

Kitchen Support

• Assist with basic food prep (washing, portioning, labeling, stocking) as directed by kitchen leadership

• Help receive and store deliveries following FIFO and food safety standards

• Refill line and prep stations with clean pans, utensils, and equipment

Safety & Standards

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines

• Use proper chemicals and cleaning procedures

• Report any equipment issues or unsafe conditions to management

Busser / Dining Room Support

• Clear and reset tables quickly and neatly between guests

• Help guests quickly find clean tables and settle in

• Greet guests with a warm, friendly presence when appropriate

• Support servers and bartenders in restocking and organizing the front-of-house

• Help with polishing glassware and rolling silverware as needed

• Keep service stations stocked with glassware, silverware, napkins, and condiments

• Assist servers by running food, water, and non-alcoholic beverages as directed

Table & Floor Care

• Wipe tables, chairs, and high-touch surfaces regularly

• Maintain clean floors in the dining room, bar area, and entry

Standards & Safety

• Follow all cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards

• Communicate any spills, hazards, or guest issues to management immediately

• Help maintain an organized and professional-looking dining room

Teamwork & Communication

• Work closely with cooks, expo, and managers to keep service flowing smoothly

• Help where needed during busy times—no job is “not your job”

• Show up on time, ready to work, with a positive, professional attitude

What We’re Looking For

•Prior restaurant or hospitality experience is a plus, but not required

• Strong work ethic and comfort working in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment

•Friendly, professional demeanor—even during rush periods

• Willing and able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays (airport operation)

•Reliable, on time, and committed to supporting the team every shift

• Able to stand lift, bend, and move for the duration of the shift (up to 8–10 hours)

• Able to lift up to 30–40 lbs

• Must be able to pass all required airport badging and security checks

Perks & Atmosphere

• Professional team with a small, family-like environment

• Consistent guest traffic – no slow days at the airport

• Opportunities to learn more about the kitchen and grow into new responsibilities

• Fun, energetic atmosphere serving guests from all over the world
