Job Description

Job Description: Guidewire Configuration Developer

We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Configuration Developer with approximately 10 years of hands-on experience in configuring, customizing, and supporting Guidewire core insurance applications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Guidewire configuration, deep insurance domain knowledge, and the ability to collaborate effectively with business, QA, and integration teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and customize Guidewire BillingCenter based on business requirements
  • Develop and maintain Product Model components including lines of business, coverages, conditions, and exclusions
  • Build and enhance UI screens (PCF), workflows, business rules, validations, and rate configurations
  • Perform advanced Gosu development for configuration extensions, plugins, and business logic
  • Design and implement integrations using SOAP/REST web services, messaging, and third-party systems (rating, payments, document management)
  • Support unit testing, system testing, UAT, production issues, upgrades, patches, and performance tuning
  • Collaborate with architects on technical design and ensure compliance with Guidewire best practices
  • Mentor junior developers and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, code reviews, and design discussions

Required Skills

  • 8-10 years of Guidewire configuration and development experience
  • Strong expertise in PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter
  • Proficiency in Gosu, PCF, Product Model, Rules, and Data Model Extensions
  • Experience with SQL, XML/JSON, web services, and version control tools
  • Solid understanding of P&C insurance processes (policy, claims, billing)

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Guidewire Certifications (Associate/Specialist/Professional) preferred

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Guidewire Cloud (GWCP) and Digital Portals
  • Exposure to large-scale transformation or Guidewire migration programs

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities
  • Ability to work independently with a quality-first mindset

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $90000 to $117453
