Salary: From $27.00 per hour

Responsibilities and Duties

As an Airline Flight Dispatcher at SkyChefs, you will play a vital role in coordinating catering operations and supporting the safe and timely servicing of airline flights. Your responsibilities will include:

Maintaining effective communication and coordination between SkyChefs management, Customer Service, and operational personnel

Assigning and dispatching catering teams to flights and reassigning teams as necessary

Monitoring flight schedules, gate changes, delays, and other operational updates

Ensuring timely and safe catering of all assigned flights

Troubleshooting operational issues and escalating concerns to management as needed

Keeping management informed of operational activities and significant issues

Monitoring flight activity and making adjustments based on changing operational needs

Maintaining effective communication with catering teams throughout the operation

Supporting on time flight departures through effective coordination and communication

Performing other related duties as assigned

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

Basic technical knowledge of computers and computer programs

Valid driver's license and good driving record

Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to read, write, and speak English

Strong organizational and customer service skills

Professional appearance and demeanor

Ability to make quick and accurate decisions in a time sensitive environment

Strong problem solving and communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high volume operational environment

Ability to obtain and retain a SIDA airport badge, subject to TSA requirements

Must meet applicable airport security and safety requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous airline catering experience

Experience working in an airport or transportation environment

Experience coordinating teams, schedules, or time sensitive operations

Experience using computer systems for scheduling, reporting, or operational tracking
