POSITION SUMMARY

The Passenger Services Agent is responsible for fulfilling Huntleigh USA's commitment to providing exceptional service to airline passengers requiring wheelchair assistance, whether by necessity or for comfort. This role ensures a safe, efficient, and pleasant travel experience by providing wheelchair and aisle chair assistance, baggage support, and general customer service throughout the airport.

The Passenger Services Agent maintains compliance with Huntleigh USA, airline, and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) safety and security requirements while delivering professional and hospitable service to all passengers.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Transport passengers safely throughout the airport while remaining alert to potential hazards.
  • Provide wheelchair and aisle chair assistance to arriving and departing airline passengers.
  • Assist passengers in and out of wheelchairs while ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Provide luggage assistance for inbound and outbound flights.
  • Assist hearing-impaired and visually impaired passengers with guidance and support.
  • Escort passengers to restaurants, restrooms, animal relief areas, and departure gates as needed.
  • Ensure passengers arrive at the correct gate safely and efficiently.
  • Provide general airport information, directions, and customer service assistance.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, gate agents, and airline personnel regarding passenger assignments.
  • Complete incident reports and maintain accurate wheelchair trip logs.
  • Comply with TSA screening requirements and all airport safety regulations.
  • Remain attentive to passenger needs to ensure a safe and pleasant travel experience.
  • Retrieve and return wheelchairs to designated staging locations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent may be required based on location.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings as required.
  • Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
  • Passion for helping others and providing exceptional service.
  • Previous airport, passenger assistance, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and/or hold up to 75 pounds or more.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, squat, stoop, bend, push, and maintain mobility throughout the workday.
  • Ability to assist passengers on stairs and boarding areas when required.

  • Fast-paced airport environment.
  • Exposure to moving equipment, outdoor weather conditions, and moderate noise levels.
