Our work is anchored in Authentic AIโ„ข โ€” an approach that treats AI not as a feature or experiment, but as a continuously evolving system that must be engineered with intent, accountability, and governance.

At StatusNeo, we donโ€™t just talk about AI transformation.

We build it โ€” across engineering platforms, AI-native SDLC, agentic systems, and enterprise operating models.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Data Architect /OCI Migration Lead to drive the successful execution of a large-scale dataplatform migration to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This is a handsโ€‘on technical leadership role requiring deep expertise in cloud data architectures, database migration, ETL/ELT optimization, and enterprise data engineering.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the technology team, providing strategic direction while actively resolving complex technical challenges, accelerating migration efforts, and establishing best practices for future-state architecture.

Key Responsibilities Technical Strategy & Architecture
  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) data environment to identify architectural gaps, migration bottlenecks, and performance constraints.
  • Define and implement targetโ€‘state data architecture aligned with scalability, performance, security, and operational excellence.
  • Redesign data models, schemas, and pipeline architectures to improve efficiency, reduce latency, and enhance overall platform reliability.
  • Develop a phased, lowโ€‘risk migration roadmap for the remaining workloads, ensuring minimal business disruption and predictable delivery.
Handsโ€‘on Engineering & Technical Leadership
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving data pipelines, database compatibility, synchronization failures, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Optimize SQL queries, ETL/ELT workflows, and data transformation processes within the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure ecosystem.
  • Improve pipeline performance through automation, orchestration, and infrastructure optimization.
  • Design and implement automated monitoring, alerting, and observability capabilities to proactively detect failures and reduce operational risk.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to establish coding standards, deployment practices, and operational best practices.
Onโ€‘Site Collaboration & Delivery Execution
  • Work onโ€‘site with the Data Engineering team, serving as the primary technical advisor during the migration program.
  • Lead daily technical triage sessions to resolve critical blockers, prioritize engineering efforts, and maintain delivery momentum.
  • Partner with architects, developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to ensure successful execution across workstreams.
  • Document architecture decisions, migration patterns, operational procedures, and technical standards to create a sustainable knowledge base for longโ€‘term platform support.
Required Qualifications
  • 8-10 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Cloud Platform Engineering.
  • Proven experience leading enterpriseโ€‘scale cloud migration initiatives, preferably involving Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Strong expertise in Oracle databases, data modeling, SQL optimization, and database performance tuning.
  • Extensive experience designing and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data integration frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of cloudโ€‘native architecture, distributed data processing, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Experience implementing monitoring, observability, and operational automation for cloudโ€‘based data platforms.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problemโ€‘solving skills with the ability to resolve complex production issues.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working directly with executive and engineering leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Oracle GoldenGate, or Oracle Integration Cloud.
  • Experience with modern data orchestration platforms such as Apache Airflow or similar workflow engines.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud automation.
  • Experience working in highly regulated enterprise environments.
