POSITION SUMMARY

The Inspector is responsible for the inspection of finished goods, to ensure the quality of the product meets the production specification detailed by work instructions.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Verify finished goods meet production specifications as detailed by router, drawings, and inspection instructions
  • Perform leak testing on finished goods, using multiple methods of pressurized testingย 
  • Reject parts that do not fulfill customer needs and expectations. Communicate with appropriate supervisory staff.
  • Document pass or fail findings in the appropriate manner
  • Document information regarding non-conformance of products, materials, and parts
  • Follow the daily testing schedule to continuously meet quoted lead times
  • Follow standard work methods to ensure products are adequately tested and graded
  • Practice safe work habits.
  • Responsible for the 5S housekeeping system within assigned work areas by maintaining the work area and keeping the equipment in a clean orderly condition.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work involves lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds.ย 
  • Work involves standing, walking, and lifting during shift schedule.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.ย 
  • Exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable or hazardous.
  • Noise level is normal for a manufacturing environment.

Schedule

  • Regular: Monday - Thursday 4:00 pm - 2:00 am
  • Overtime: Friday, as needed, 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Requirements

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma/GED or two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.ย 
  • Basic understanding of print reading and tolerances
  • Must be able to use basic handheld measuring tools.
  • Basic knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.ย ย 
  • Ability to work in standing position throughout shift.
