Aircraft Structural Mechanic
Location: Greenville, SC
Pay: $40.00/hour with an Active Secret Security Clearance | $38.00/hour without an Active Clearance
Shift Differential: +$1.00/hour for Night Shift
Schedule: Full Time | Long Term Opportunity Position Summary SkyBridge Aviation is actively hiring experienced Aircraft Structural Mechanics to support one of the nation's premier military fighter aircraft production programs in Greenville, South Carolina. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing aerospace team where you'll perform structural assembly, modification, and repair on advanced military aircraft while working in a modern manufacturing environment. Perform aircraft structural assembly, modification, installation, and repairs
Drill, ream, countersink, rivet, and install aircraft structural components
Fabricate and fit sheet metal assemblies and structural parts
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals
Complete structural repairs in accordance with engineering specifications
Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance
Use precision measuring equipment and standard aircraft sheet metal tools
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of recent aircraft structural or sheet metal experience
Experience with drilling, riveting, countersinking, structural repairs, installations, and blueprint interpretation
Ability to work from engineering drawings and technical documentation
Military or commercial fixed-wing aircraft experience considered
Must be authorized to work in the United States Preferred Qualifications
Military fighter aircraft experience
Active Secret Security Clearance is not required to start, but must be eligible for a Secret Security Clearance once hired if you do not have an active one already
Aircraft production, depot maintenance, or modification experience
Compensation
$40.00/hour with an Active Secret Security Clearance
$38.00/hour without an active clearance
Additional $1.00/hour shift differential for employees working the night shift
Weekly pay Available Shifts- Must be open to working any of these shifts Day Shift
Monday through Thursday
4:30 AM – 3:00 PM Weekend Day Shift
Friday through Sunday
5:00 AM – 5:30 PM Night Shift
Monday through Thursday
3:30 PM – 2:00 AM
