WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a member of Epic Flight Support, the Aircraft Detailer / Shop Assistant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and presentation of aircraft interiors and exteriors to the highest standards. This role plays an important part in delivering an exceptional customer experience by ensuring every aircraft leaves our facility looking its best. In addition to aircraft detailing, you'll help maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment while supporting other departments as needed. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work, enjoy hands-on tasks, and have an interest in the aviation industry. Training is provided, with opportunities for career growth and advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Vacuum aircraft floors and thoroughly clean interior surfaces
  • Clean and sanitize aircraft cockpits, cabins, and passenger seating areas
  • Remove trash and prepare aircraft for customer delivery
  • Clean and polish aircraft interiors and exterior painted surfaces
  • Clean aircraft windows, windshields, and fuselage using approved procedures and materials
  • Assist with washing, detailing, and final presentation of customer aircraft
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Support mechanics and other departments with shop tasks as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous automotive, marine, RV, or aviation detailing experience preferred
  • Previous experience or a strong interest in the aviation industry
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, airport, or Fixed Base Operator (FBO) is a plus
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills; this position regularly interacts with aircraft owners, passengers, vendors, and Epic team members
  • Self-motivated, dependable, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to learn and assist wherever needed
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship

Employment with Epic Flight Support is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, as well as participating in subsequent random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with company policy

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach throughout the majority of the workday
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to work on ladders, platforms, and around aircraft safely
  • Ability to perform repetitive cleaning, polishing, and detailing tasks while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions typical of an aircraft maintenance hangar
  • Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals, detailing equipment, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)

COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE

Monday – Friday
7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Starting Pay: $20.00/hour
