Our client provides a broad and growing portfolio of worldwide technical services in MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul), Engineering, Component Repair, and Parts Development. They support narrow and wide-body aircraft operators in the commercial and government aviation markets. Since its founding in 1970, they have received numerous industry awards for its support of turn-key fleet transition and integration, aircraft modifications, aircraft heavy maintenance, design services, and component repair of accessories, structures, flight control surfaces, fuel components, complex composites, hydraulics, pneumatics, heat exchangers and electrical components.

They are currently recruiting for a Manager, Aircraft Maintenance in Kansas City, MO.

A Day in the Life of The Manager, Aircraft Maintenance

As the Aircraft Maintenance Manager, you will manage assigned aircraft maintenance lines using production schedules, labor analysis, and budgetary information. Utilizes resources to manage entire aircraft maintenance, preventative maintenance, or alteration projects. Oversees product quality while ensuring maintenance tasks and functions are carried out in compliance with the applicable requirements of the air carrier maintenance program and its inspection procedures manual.

Essential Duties of The Manager, Aircraft Maintenance

  • Ensures the direction of maintenance programs is consistent with the company goals and targets.
  • Directly responsible for oversight of the Aircraft Maintenance program.
  • Coordinates with Quality Control to ensure, within company repair station limitations, that aircraft maintenance is performed and carried out in accordance with approved Federal Aviation, manufacturers, customers, and company procedures and requirements.
  • Reviews customer program and FAA regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Manages the overall maintenance, preventative maintenance, or alteration of, approves, and returns to service any aircraft or part thereof.
  • Ensures communication of all significant information, including work, risk, safety, and quality.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) yearsโ€™ recent commercial aircraft maintenance and/or MRO experience required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of aircraft maintenance supervisory experience is required.
  • Airframe, or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification is required.

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit, stand, and walk; use their hands and arms; talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Compensation

This position's full base pay range is $92,000-$138,000 annually, exclusive of benefits or potential bonuses. The lower end of the range represents the target base pay for those beginning or developing in the role. The higher end of the range is intended for those who have mastered the role, with proven significant expertise, high achievement, and specialized skills. If you are hired, your salary will be based on factors including skills, education, and experience. In addition to those factors โ€“ we consider the internal equity of our current employees when determining offers. This position is eligible for an annual bonus. We also offer a generous benefits package, as detailed below.
