Job description:

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance B-1 Engineer (AME) to serve as the on-site Customer Service Representative (CSR) for one of our airline customers. In this dual role position, the AME-CSR will be responsible for performing and overseeing routine and non-routine maintenance tasks, while also acting as the primary point of contact for the customer airline personnel. This role ensures aircraft are maintained to the highest standards while representing the customer’s operational needs and service expectations in real time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform line maintenance services on aircraft, including inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and operational checks
  • Coordinate daily maintenance activities with internal teams and airline representatives to ensure timely aircraft readiness
  • Act as the primary liaison between the customer airline and the maintenance team, ensuring open and timely communication
  • Interpret and apply technical manuals, aircraft maintenance documents, and engineering drawings
  • Accurately document all maintenance actions in accordance with FAA, company, and customer requirements
  • Monitor and escalate any delays, issues, or service concerns to ensure proactive resolution
  • Ensure aircraft servicing, tooling, and ground equipment meet safety and operational standards
  • Support a clean, safe, and professional work environment representing both the company and the customer
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of applicable fleet types, particularly widebody aircraft (747-400/8)
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills and a commitment to exceeding client expectations

Qualifications:

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License required
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in aircraft line maintenance
  • Experience with 747-8 and 747-400 aircraft types
  • Proven ability to work independently while managing customer-facing responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and capable of documenting work accurately
  • Flexible to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must pass all required background checks, drug testing, and fingerprinting
