Their duties often include preparing tools, cleaning parts, ordering supplies, and assisting with basic tasks during maintenance procedures. While they do not usually perform complex repairs themselves, their support is crucial for ensuring that maintenance operations run smoothly and efficiently. Typically, Aircraft Maintenance Assistants work under direct supervision and may use the role as a stepping stone to more advanced positions in aviation maintenance.
