Maintains liaison with the Maintenance Coordinating Function (MCF) of the Command Post. 2. Notes projected completion date, studies actual aircraft status and informs higher levels within chain of command when aircraft is to be mission ready.

As daily events occur, maintains MIS data integrity regarding maintenance flying schedule requirements. Conducts training and skill level progression of Air Force Reservists. 5.

Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, Series 1152. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes developing and implementing aircraft maintenance work plans and schedules to ensure the effective and efficient accomplishment of required maintenance and coordination in support of unit operational flight scheduling.
FEDERALTIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. 5. Knowledge of aerospace systems, subsystems, components, and associated inspections, repair, modification, and supply processes. 6.
Knowledge of and skill in the use of automated maintenance information systems (MIS) and aircraft maintenance documentation processes to collect, compile, and correlate production data from a variety of sources and use that data to determine compliance status of scheduled maintenance, inspection, and modification actions. Knowledge of total quality management methodology, tools, and techniques OTHER SIGNIFICANT FACTS: 1. This is an ART position.
The incumbent is required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Work schedule will be aligned to allow incumbent to fully participate in unit training assemblies. 2.
The incumbent 's regular assignments are ART duties; however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities. 3. May be required to fly in commercial and military aircraft to perform temporary/permanent duty assignments.
4. Performs other related duties as assigned. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are eligible for 15 days active duty tour each year for which military leave is granted with full civilian pay. Air Reserve units and members; are subject to immediate call to active duty in mobilization to meet a national emergency.
