Job description

STS Technical Services is hiring experienced Aircraft Mechanics in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you'll be responsible for inspecting, testing, adjusting, repairing, and performing a wide variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of airframe and engine systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections, servicing, and repairs of a complex nature on various aircraft systems and components
  • Troubleshoot and function test using manufacturer's technical documents across a variety of airframe, engine, and component systems
  • Lead aircraft projects as directed by the Crew Chief and Supervisor
  • Prepare and complete maintenance and modification documents in accordance with FAA Airworthiness Regulations, Elliott Aviation Policies and Processes, FAA Approved Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals, and OJT logs
  • Locate and use the appropriate technical data to accomplish all assigned tasks efficiently and correctly
  • Support, maintain, and comply with all Federal, OSHA, State, and local regulations as well as Elliott Aviation's Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies and Processes
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Ability to attain and retain AOA badge or Airport requirements
  • FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred
  • Must obtain and retain designation as an Elliott Aviation Production Inspector (Blue stamp)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of FARs 43, 65, 91, 135, and 145
  • Aircraft maintenance experience preferred

Licenses
  • Airframe & Powerplant License required
